river that has reasserted its spot as one of the top fishing destinations in Oregon.

PGE is giving about 1,500 acres to the Western Rivers Conservancy without receiving a tax deduction. The land will be part of a 9,000-acre conservation and recreation area managed by the federal Bureau of Land Management. The water rights will be donated to the State of Oregon, ensuring it benefits aquatic resources and public recreation.

Finally, the power generated by Marmot Dam will be replaced, in part, by environmentally friendly wind power from Klondike II and the new Biglow Canyon wind farm PGE is building in Sherman County.
